More elephant seal shots from South Georgia
The Daily Mail published a series of my shots from South Georgia featuring the largest seal on the planet, Southern elephant seals (Mirounga leonina). Being a newspaper, it's no surprise that they focused on the incredible size disparity between males and females (called sexual dimorphism) or the fact that males will have to defend a harem of 10-100 females. Sex sells.
